MoMA Art as a Verb
MoMa Exhibition Advertisement DesignIn their 1988 exhibition Art as a Verb, curators Lowery Stokes Sims and Leslie-King Hammond wrote that artists “moved the art ‘object’ from a static state . . . to explore kinetic properties related to the human experience.”
The project was inspired by the projects from MoMA Art as a Verb collections: Studio Performance with R.S.V.P by Senga Neugudi, Memory: Past by Howardena Pindell, and Leaning by Maren Hassinger.
